Reader's Tip: Reading Circle [UPDATED]

If you, like me, enjoy reading books (and ebooks), you'll also know that books are fairly expensive. At least new books are.

I have a great tip that will enable you and your friends to read a number of new books all at the cost of one - start a reading circle!

Here's how to do it: Make a list with the names of all the participants. Everyone on the list buys one book of their choice.
The only rules are that the books must have been published no later than last year, in this case 2010, it must not be part of any series, and it should preferably be a novel or fiction of some sort.
Each participant gets to keep the book for an agreed time, let's say 4 weeks for instance, and then pass it on to the next person on the list to keep for a month and so on.
Come full circle, you get the book you purchased back, and in the meantime you have had the opportunity to read books by authors you may not otherwise even have considered, and hopefully found some new favourites as well. Happy reading!
